We’re bringing back a classic! Our GAIA 9 handpan is the new and improved version of our classic GAIA handpan, reintroduced with amazing upgrades. This handpan features an attractive color and traditional nitrided finish to our Dii handpan models. With a vibrant tone and crisp sustain, the GAIA 9 handpan is tuned to our popular Sunset scale (Also called D minor or Celtic Minor), with an added note to total 9 notes on the top shell of this handpan.
This scale is easy to learn how to play handpan, and is perfect when you want to play along with friends and different instruments. It works wonderfully for anyone who is a beginner handpan player or for those of you who want to play handpan casually in your home or professionally on stage or as a street performer. This handpan is handcrafted and meticulously tuned by Dave Beery to A-440 with state-of-the-art electronic stobo-tubing devices, so you know you are getting a beautiful, high-quality musical instrument.
The GAIA 9 handpan is made with 21” diameter deep drawn pressed nitrided shells. It is about 10” tall. The color of the instrument is created by placing the steel into a kiln and may vary slightly, but generally it has a dark blue-grey matte color with some shimmering highlights of emerald, gold, and sapphire.
